Lacson, in a tweet on Friday, said any lawmaker can return to his or her first profession as long as there would be no conflict of interest with his job as a legislator.
“Nothing wrong for a legislator to practice his original profession, as long as conflict of interest does not get in the way, in which case, a full disclosure must be made,” he wrote. Lacson was reacting to Revilla’s statement earlier addressing criticisms against his reported return to television. But he also pointed out that there was no law prohibiting a lawmaker from joining show business.
“Wala pong batas na nagbabawal sa pag-aartista. Ito ay isang marangal na trabaho na bumuhay at bumubuhay sa pamilya ko ,” said Revilla, who was an actor before joining politics. “Haters are going to hate, and bashers are going to bash. The truth is out there and it is their choice to side with lies and falsehood. Sino ang may problema Who has a problem)? Not me,” he said.
That just shows you all have no discipline and ethics in the senate! You can't even call out your colleagues who overstep their obligations. The people will now see, what kind of senators we have.
