Lenders are likely to continue using the existing FICO and VantageScore credit models in addition to the new FICO Resilience Index. The newer resilience score can be used for forward-looking credit risk, while the older models give a more current view of a customer's credit risk. "Like most products that predict a consumer's credit risk, the FICO Resilience Index will help some consumers and hurt others. If your FICO score is in good standing, you're likely to perform well on FICO's Resilience Index," Black says.
