KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 — Taiwanese television presenter Nono Chen is leaving the entertainment industry after accusations of sexual harassment and assault were levelled against him.
The decision came following a claim by social media influencer Anisa that she was sexually harassed by the 52-year-old in his car and she was not the only victim as there were some 20 other women who confided in her that they suffered a similar fate.Anisa had earlier dropped the bomb via a social media post on Tuesday which was swiftly denied by Chen who issued a statement saying he had no recollection of the woman nor the alleged incident.
“I am willing to admit it if I did something wrong, but how do I respond to things I don’t remember,”He, however, admitted to his wrongdoing when Anisa appeared in a press conference on Wednesday to repeat the accusations.In a statement issued via his social media, Chen said he would stop working in the entertainment industry.
