Its minister Maszlee Malik said with the move, lecturers would be more dynamic and competitive, while students would be just as enthusiastic in seizing the opportunities when looking for jobs. “We are learning from Manchester , Australia and the United States where varsities are merged to bring together academics and research ,” he told a press conference after a townhall session where he met students from Universiti Teknologi Mara Puncak Alam campus here, today.
