Apple's retail chief reportedly said many more stores will open next month

Sources told Bloomberg that Apple's top retail executive Deirdre O'Brien made the remark during a weekly video call with staff.

The tech giant has already reopened its brick-and-mortar stores in China in March after they were shut for one month due to the coronavirus.Apple expects to reopen "many more" of its stores in May, one of its senior executives reportedly told employees. Although it's not clear which locations might reopen first, O'Brien is said to have previously told employees that she thought some US stores would reopen in early May. In the meantime, Apple retail staff have been carrying out training and meetings remotely.
