After a very long hiatus, the Proton brand returned to South Africa in 2022 with the launch of the X50 and X70. Now owned by Geely, these models were developed following shared group engineering expertise, including technology also found in Volvo and Geely models.
The X90 boasts a particularly spacious interior specially designed to accommodate up to seven adult passengers with very comfortable leg and headroom. All finishes are premium and include ambient lighting, brushed aluminium finishes and various seat coverings depending on the derivative, with top-of-the-range models featuring nappa leather seat coverings.
All models have a 12.3-inch touchscreen monitor that offers voice commands, smartphone connectivity and Bluetooth capabilities.
