There are plenty of images from England they could have used.

A bike firm has had a terrible start to English Tourism Week after it used a picture from Wales to promote its services.

There are plenty of beautiful places in England so it was rather surprising when Next Bikes chose an image of Cardiff Castle. The company seemed to confuse England with the UK and thought they could piggback on the tourism week. That didn’t go down well with some patriots who were offended and suggested the firm should concentrate on promoting Wales Tourism Week, which runs from May 11-19.Managing director of Next Bike UK Krysia Solheim said: ‘In retrospect, we understand how the messaging may have caused offence and we would like to apologise for our mistake.

‘We’re incredibly proud to be active in Wales and have invested a huge amount of time and resources to help make bike share an integral part of everyday life in Cardiff.’
