Timbog sa entrapment operation ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group sa Central Visayas ang 5 hininalang investment scammer sa Cebu City nitong Martes ng gabi.

Modus ng grupo na paniwalain ang mga kliyente na dodoble ang hinulog nilang pera 45 araw matapos mag-invest, ayon kay Police Maj. Edwin Lacostales, team leader ng CIDG operating group.

Mula Mindanao, pumunta umano sa Cebu ang mga suspek, na miyembro umano ng Phoenix E.A Holding International Inc. para tumakas, ayon sa reklamo ng mga biktima sa pulisya. Abril nagsimula ang operasyon ng kompanya pero nabatid na hindi rehistrado sa Securities and Exchange Commission ang grupo. Kasong estafa ang haharapin ng mga suspek.
