Democrats could unknowingly aid in Trump's reelection, the professor says, if they keep making excuses for looting and promoting intentions to defund the police, which Galloway calls irrational.The DNC and RNC Zoom calls, posing as conventions, were all about shadows — not the parties or platforms themselves, but perceptions of threats.

The DNC Zoom theme was "don't be afraid of us," in contrast to the GOP's "be afraid of them." Biden argued America needs empathy and competence, and Trump laid out the case for a strongman.

profgalloway The 'future' doesn't vote all that often. The DNC has focused for years on getting people to vote that won't. Perhaps the 2020 focus on actual voters will work for them this time.
