Departing CEO says pandemic provides opportunity for action as minds focus on global supplies

The boss of Tesco has called on companies, and countries, to take a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to tackle food waste as the coronavirus pandemic focuses minds on global supplies.

Add Sir David Attenborough's lifelong views abt waste. Then Pontifex 'Waste of food is in fact stealing from the poor'. How many TESCO cases of petty theft have been brought before courts. Judges in Italy avoid jail if 'need' is proven. Waste is wrong. FoodCloud is welcome
