MACAU, Sept 27 : Revenue of Macau's industry sector amounted to 11.69 billion patacas in 2019, an increase of 5.0 per cent year-on-year, the special administrative region's statistic service said here on Sunday.
As the increase in expenditure was greater than that in revenue, the gross surplus of the sector dropped by 1.9 per cent year-on-year to 3.05 billion patacas in 2019. Its general unemployment rate from June to August this year was 2.8 percent and the unemployment rate of local residents was 4.0 percent.
Analyzed by industry, employment in gaming and junket activities and hotels and similar activities decreased, while that in restaurants and similar activities increased.
