The company use hundreds of thousands of wireless sensors and real-time analytics to monitor temperature, soil moisture, disease and pest pressure in fruit and nut orchards and to direct exactly when and where to apply pest controls, water and other resources.
SemiosBio CEO Micheal Gilbert told Business News that combining the two companies would provide a full-cycle crop management system. This is the private company’s third major agriculture technology purchase in 2021.
