Pop, thank you.’ No cause of death was given for the revered music executive, who began his career as a member of the musical group The Ivy Three in the late 1950s.He went on to form an entertainment company called Koppelman/Rubin Associates, before Koppelman moved to CBS Records in the 1970s, where he signed artists including Billy Joel and Journey as the vice president and national director of A&R.
