Carnival shares CCL gained 3% as Jefferies upgraded the cruise operator to buy from hold.Stock gainers: Apple’s stock AAPL rose 1% as Citi initiated coverage on the iPhone maker at buy.Stock decliners: Shares of Nike NKE dropped 4% in premarket trade after the retailer’s fourth-quarter profit came in below Wall Street expectations amid markdowns and weaker demand for sneakers and clothing.

ASML Holding shares ASML fell 2% as the Dutch government said it would require export licenses for semiconductor equipment machines, starting in September.
