The cryptocurrency market has shed substantial value throughout the past 24 hours, losing around 2% of its total market capitalization on the backs of considerable losses across the board.
Unfortunately, the bulls were completely unable to sustain the positive momentum, and the price retraced to where it currently trades – slightly above $34K. This marks a decrease of 3.1% in the past 24 hours.Bitcoin’s dominance – the metric analysts use to gauge its share relative to that of the rest of the market – has also dropped by around 0.3% on the day, currently standing at 50.7%. This indicates that altcoins have somewhat fared better than BTC throughout the period.
