The U.S. stock market opened higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average heading for a potential fifth straight day of gains, as investors weighed a softer-than-anticipated report on jobs growth. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.45% was up 0.5% soon after the opening bell, while the S&P 500 SPX, +0.65% gained 0.5% and the Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.56% rose 0.
