Australian Venue Company Regrets Not Celebrating Australia Day

Australian Venue Company (AVC) has expressed regret after reportedly telling its venue managers not to celebrate Australia Day next year. The company acknowledged the comments caused 'both concern and confusion' and said it did not intend to offend anyone. AVC operates over 200 pubs across the country and employs 9,600 people, welcoming about 15 million patrons each year.
