I’m campaigning hard on this. It’s utterly ridiculous.

The government makes too much money out of alcohol, smoking & gambling to meddle to much with it

The alcohol industry is not the only one profiting from people engaging in unhealthy coping behaviours because of stress (relationships, work, financial, grief, PTSD, childhood adversity). The causes of smoking, overeating, gambling, opioids, other addictions need to be addressed

Putting the fox in charge of the hen-house? Alcohol does not need to be an intrinsic part of Australian culture. If it is, that should be seen as a challenge to overcome, not the basis of a government strategy to maintain revenue.
