Touting HIPAA-compliance hasn't been enough to alleviate data-sharing woes – suggesting the law needs a revamp now that tech giants like Google are forging deeper into healthcare:

a letter to Google and Ascension demanding they unleash more details regarding how patient health information is being stored and why the two kept the endeavor under wraps, per CNBC.
