From June 1, companies can be prosecuted under new provision in anti-graft law

Section 17A of the MACC Act provides for action to be taken against companies, and will be enforced from June 1. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 21, 2020.

FROM June 1, companies involved in graft will be prosecuted under a new provision under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009. In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office said prior to this, only people could be prosecuted under the MACC Act.
