Microsoft is giving retail employees until July 26 to meet certain conditions to keep their jobs, find new roles, or resign, sources say

and shift its focus to digital sales. Employees, Microsoft said, would continue to service customers remotely and in offices "providing sales, training, and support."

"We are working to accommodate the diverse needs of our teams, including allowing some employees to work remotely where necessary and working to accommodate scheduling needs where appropriate. Our commitment to growing and developing careers from this diverse talent pool is stronger than ever, with strong support from other leaders across Microsoft," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement.

“The closures came as a surprise to some employees...they found out from news reports. Microsoft...informed employees at the same time it published the press release & SEC filings...”. Biz/employee relationship has changed. Perhaps everyone should just be self-employed? 🤔

'Forced to resign' = fired. As bad as saying the president said an untruth, instead of saying he lied.

The new norm of doing business these days. Cheers

Funny, they should have known that the only 'trust' the company has is to make and keep M O N E Y, not pay it out in salary. They are all expendables: in order to make and keep a bottom line. It's simple. Snowflakes-- they are getting hit hard, therefore the only way to survive is to trim the fat. Lol why you even make this article ? This is true for every person that's ever been laid off, Airbnb employees aren't any different.
