Covid-19 highlights importance of financial literacy, says deputy finance minister II

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — The assimilation of financial literacy elements in lifestyle and day-to-day affairs is now becoming increasingly important in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Deputy Finance Minister II Mohd Shahar Abdullah. “There are those who take wise steps by re-evaluating their financial position by looking for alternatives in navigating the new norms.

Quoting a Malay proverb which means working together through thick and thin in facing the pandemic, he urged FEN and its partners from the public and private sectors to mobilise their energy to realise the goals of the National Financial Literacy Strategy 2019-2023.
