Most mindsets on money are rooted in our childhood experiences, TV finance expert Eoin McGee believes.“Nobody has more of an impact on our financial education than our parents,” he explains in his new book How To Make Your Money Work, which comes out today.
“I can reasonably assume that when I delve just a little, I’ll discover the reason is in their upbringing; or involves something that happened with their parents and money when they were young. “Think about your upbringing and consider how that might have influenced your thinking today. What are you carrying around from the past and how is that having a positive or negative effect on your relationship with money?”
