One of the Valley's newest industrial projects could support a growing number of manufacturing suppliers looking for space south of Phoenix.

As more businesses expand in cities across Pinal County, more developers have also been eyeing vacant land for new industrial projects.

The park in Eloy is being developed in partnership by Brett Shaves, president of Scottsdale-based Newport Commercial Partners LLC and Armin Martens, CEO of Canada-based Manncor Realty Advisors. Shaves said that the project started as a speculative development but said they've received interest already on a couple of the buildings from companies in multiple industries.

The project is expected to begin construction by the fourth quarter of 2023 and will be geared toward light manufacturing, assemblage and other uses like logistics. Shaves said the facility could be built in two phases. with a few miles of frontage along Union Pacific rail line. The massive industrial park, called Interstate 10-8 Business Park, is being developed by Gilbert-based Petersen Properties & Management Inc.
