Shares of financial institutions in Asia were particularly hard hit, following drops for their U.S. and European peers

U.S. stock futures edged higher on Tuesday as investors continued to digest theFutures tied to the S&P 500, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq-100 rose more than 0.3% each. The S&P 500 and Dow industrials had closed down on Monday, while the Nasdaq Composite ended the day slightly higher.
