IEC says some voting stations will finish counting and have results compiled and captured in the first few hours after voting closed at nine on Wednesday night.says it is satisfied with how the elections went, since there were no major incidents reported. However there were reports of the shortage of stationery in some voting stations.

Deputy Manager for Electoral Matters at IEC, Ledimo Nthejane says, “The expectation is that when you wake there will be some results which are appearing depending on those offices that shall have concluded capturing of the results.” “As the day progresses, as they complete their compilation the results will then shape up and making determinations which parties are leading which ones are lagging until the process is entirely completed.”
