Senior Deputy Minority Leader and Iloilo Rep. Janette Garin has thanked Malacañang for its openness to make the Dengvaxia vaccine available again in the market.

The former Health Secretary strongly urged the Department of Health to listen to the country’s experts in vaccination and immunology in the wake of rising cases of dengue.

“We can also get experts from other countries to help us. Let us not hinder developments in health and protection of the public just because a few doctors who are antivaxxers are making noise.” she said. She asked Health Secretary Francisco Duque III to explain the reason why the license of the dengue vaccine was revoked.

“In 2012, guidelines were released citing the need to introduce other modalities since two decades of 4S strategy has not reduced dengue.
