Yuguda, while briefing journalists on the outcome of first virtual Capital Market Committee meeting on Friday in Lagos, said making transactions simpler and guaranteeing investors’ protection would make the stock market attractive for investment.
He said, “From the point of parting with your money to the point of getting the money in the form of dividend or as proceeds from the sale of stocks bought, the process is extremely complicated. Yuguda said SEC was working legally to close the loopholes in the market to protect investors from falling victims to certain operators who had capitalised on the loopholes to dupe investors of their money.
