The offences included poor upkeep of the premises, putting up of advertisements without permits and obstructing public walkways.

Twenty-six compounds were also issued by the Subang Jaya City Council during a joint operation with Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry at Taman Subang Mewah.

MBSJ Corporate and Strategic Management Department deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said the businesses were run by foreigners from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Indonesia.A RM300 compound was issued to the grocery store owner by KPDNHEP for failing to display the prices of eggs which were on the price control list.

The operation, led by Subang Jaya mayor Datuk Johary Anuar, involved 39 officers from the MBSJ Licensing and Enforcement departments and 11 KPDNHEP enforcement officers.
