In 1980, architect Richard Crowther shows how passive home sculptured windows let rays in; its shape protects a home from summer overheating. “[The developers] purchased the property for almost $4 million, and we’ve met with [them] twice trying to find alternatives to demolition,” Gass said. “They paid too much for the site, so they want to recover that investment.”
