A Glasgow company has left hundreds of people unemployed just weeks before Christmas.

The firm - a 'business process outsourcer' - worked throughout the pandemic to organise vaccination appointments.

One person said: “What the company has done to everybody is shocking. I was loyal to them for a long time. “It's also a five-week wait for Universal Credit. You might get an advance but it would be two weeks before you even get that.“A poor girl I work with is going to lose her visa and a lot of people have children to feed.”

“We are in discussions with our customers to save as many jobs as possible, with more than 250 safeguarded so far and conversations are continuing over the weekend.
