Google has revealed that “Wordle” is its most-searched term this year in the United States and globally, signifying that the five-letter guessing game owned by the New York Times still has a grip on us. It beat perhaps more newsier topics, such as “election results” and “Betty White” in the United States, and “Queen Elizabeth” and “Ukraine” globally.
Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn-based software engineer formerly at Reddit, released the game in October 2021, and it quickly became a cultural phenomenon. So much so, that the New York Times\n \n bought Wordle in February 2022 to bolster its gaming subscription business and attract new people to the newspaper.
Not once 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
I don't search for anything on Google.
Am just about to search it...just a minute.
kworoch23 i think CNN is calling me out and I feel attacked
Never tried wordle, but heardle is fun.
I'm playing against myself, why would I need to do that?
My tip. Use my 'Touring Enigma Principle', ie use these 5 letter words first then you eliminate letters it can't be before you using the remaining letters to solve. ORATE, SLUMP & WINDY. By line 4, you'll have lots of clues & you'll eliminate many common consonants. Never fails
forget answer, I don't know what wordle is let alone search for the answer. yeah it does pop up on my timeline, but am least interested.
