The Government has to be open to adapting the support schemes aimed at helping businesses with rising costs, the Minister for Enterprise has said.

Simon Coveney said the package put in place in the budget aimed to help businesses with dramatic increases in energy costs.

He said the aim was to limit the disruption as much as possible, but added that the Government won't get it right every time. "And that's why I think we have to be open to adapting and changing those schemes if they're sort of missing the sweet spot in certain areas," he said.
