State Farm and Service Experts are laying off a combined 201 workers in Richardson.
The companies separately filed required notices that the Texas Workforce Commission released this week. The layoffs are effective in March.State Farm has hired HCLTech to handle its information technology help desk. It notified 150 employees in Richardson that they would be laid off March 31. “Many of these employees have been offered opportunities to join HCLTech in similar roles with similar work arrangements in their current locations supporting State Farm,” State Farm spokesman Chris Pilcic said in an email.
HCLTech, headquartered in Noida, India, is one of the world’s largest information technology services firms.
