A Cockermouth business can refurbish its existing warehouse and office block after planning officials at Cumberland Council granted approval for the scheme.According to the planning officer’s report the proposal was considered to be of an appropriate scale and would not cause an adverse effect on a number of areas including transport, housing and residential amenity.

It states: “The hours of operation of the site are secured by planning condition and shall open for business solely between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and between 8am to 5pm on Saturdays, not at all on Sundays or bank holidays. The report states: “The site is not identified as having a negative or neutral effect on the conservation area, nor is it identified for any special merits.
