Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin announced Malaysia’s participation at the world expo here on Monday .
“At this point of time, we are aiming to achieve a number of primary targets, firstly, a potential trade and investment value of RM10bil, and secondly, to secure 10,000 business leads,” she said. Yeo welcomed both the private and public sector to participate in the expo, as the Malaysian Pavilion will house more than 200 slots for organisations to showcase their wares and solutions to the world.
“Malaysia is a small country but not unimportant, we may be small but our actions can have large effects in other places,” Yeo said of the Butterfly Effect campaign that is a continuation from Malaysia’s participation at the Astana Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan.
