It must be obvious to them that I’m talking, and yet they make these noises, which interrupt my calls.

DEAR MISS MANNERS: I have a very stressful job. I am connected to my phone almost 24/7, and I take all calls regardless of my location.

How can I politely ask others to refrain from flushing or using the hand dryer while I’m on the phone?
