KZN man arrested with drugs worth R4 million sabcnews

A man arrested with drugs worth R4 million in Ballito, north of Durban is expected to appear in the Umhlali Magistrate's Court on Monday.

The Hawks arrested a man, 37 arrested for allegedly being found in possession of heroin worth an estimated R4 million in Ballito, north of Durban.He was detained during an intelligence driven operation led by the Hawks on Friday in Ballito. Hawks provincial spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says the operation was a combined effort: “His arrest by the members of the Hawks working together with Metro, and SAPS teams the Shongweni K9 Units as well as crime intelligence on Friday.”

Police seized drugs as well as equipment used to package drugs and other machinery to the street value of approximately 4 million.
