The six-month moratorium on bank loans announced by Putrajaya yesterday will not be interest-free, according to Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
Speaking at a press conference today, he stressed the focus of the moratorium was on assisting the rakyat who need to postpone paying their loan instalments during the current economic downturn.
Moratorium with interest is in the best interest of the Banks (the banks make more money from this moratorium). The Rakyat end up incurring more cost. Moratorium does not generate income to the Rakyat, only temporarily reduce payments. How do they survive without income???
This stupid Prime Minister and Finance Minister should have introduced the Total Lock Down when it was 2000 daily cases and introduce the Moratorium then. Now it is a bit too late because the people are already in deep shit!!!!
