Durban has this year witnessed another decline of patrons attending festivities on New Year’s Day due to COVID-19 restrictions despite the midnight curfew being lifted.
Many chose to enjoy themselves at Umhlanga Rocks.This after the July unrest and COVID-19 caused many business to close shops.The police and the eThekwini Metro police also conducted roadblocks on Florida Road in Durban, a popular venue for revellers.
