Police have opened an inquest docket following the death of three-year-old Keketso Saule who was mauled to death by two pitbulls at Hennenman in the Free State. The incident happened in the neighbour’s yard.
Police Spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli, “The 3-year-old toddler was certified dead at the scene with severe injuries on the head. The dog was removed by its owner and its locked away at a place known by the police. Public order police are deployed to the area as the situation is tense.”The parents of Mosime can sue for emotional trauma and even funeral costs from the owner of the dog.

Let me just say the people are going on about this pitbull breeds, stop these fucking dog fighting rings!!!!!! I am so upset firstly for an innocent child and secondly because the focus are on the dogs and not the criminal activities. The dogs are not the only issue!!!!

Claim for damages and emotional trauma isn't enough. The law needs to change, it shouldn't be for parents to claim. Dog owners must be held liable and police must charge them! Nonsense to put this all on the family that's lost a child to a brutal attack by a savage beast!

Pitbulls are extremely dangerous. They must be banned and their possession must be a criminal offence as they have already been banned in other countries. They are killing children in South Africa. Enough is enough. Their owners should be arrested in order to put a stop to this.
