Shopoff Realty Investments is proposing The Block on Elliot atto build The Block on Elliot from Arizona Dairy Co. last September for $70 million.

California-based Ware Malcomb is the architect while Mesa-based EPS Group Inc. is the civil engineer. Pew & Lake is the land-use attorney for the project.Mesa's Planning and Zoning Board voted on Feb. 8 to approve the rezoning of the land from agriculture to light industrial with a planned area development overlay and a preliminary plat, clearing the way for the project to be heard by Mesa City Council.

. The $80 million project includes two warehouse logistics-oriented buildings totaling 900,000 square feet on the southeast corner of Southern Avenue and Rainbow Road next to the Union Pacific rail line.
