Not a DC resident, but I do spend a lot of time ferrying my partner to medical appointments in Foggy Bottom. We hate cars too, but when he has a medical procedure, he needs to be driven . I’m a #freeparkingisntfree adherent so I’m down with paying for parking, but why doesn’t DC make it easier?
I have parking mobile, but DC is the only jurisdiction where I use it where the zone is often not marked . Why not? Also, hello and welcome to 2023. $2 an hour is not the market clearing rate for parking. Parking expert,, says you know the rate is about right when there is one open spot per block. In Foggy Bottom, that is not the case at all. Probably not in other neighborhoods either.
