The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on Friday denied that Governor Eli Remolona Jr. endorsed a cryptocurrency investment.
The BSP also asked the public to be more vigilant against scams because the use of artificial intelligence to create or manipulate fake videos and audios make them appear more believable. The BSP said any act of misrepresenting the bank regulator or any of its officers or units is punishable under the law.
