One hundred trucks conveying 4,000 tonnes of onion have reportedly left Sokoto for other African countries in the aftermath of the recent crisis at Shasa. However, the National President of Onion Producers and Marketers, Aliyu Isa, denied that the decision to export the products resulted from the recent Shasa crisis.

According to him, Nigeria produces 1.4 million metric tonnes of onion every year and exports it to all African countries, except Egypt and the Niger Republic.

Please sell your onions somewhere else, our lives and security are worth more than your Onions, moreover we are already bringing in Onions from other sources, with plans to cultivate the same ourselves.

Nigeria is not just the biggest economy in west Africa. It is the biggest in Africa. Most of the market is in southern Nigeria. There's no other economy in west Africa that is as big as the southern Nigeria economy. They will beg the South to bring it back here

Their loss. Simple. Because they'll be forced to sell at very cheap prices. They gain so much selling in the South West because here's where the market and the demand is. The innate desire to make more money is human greatest weakness.

But onions still flooded Bodija market. Maybe there is glut in production. I passed through the market yesterday, onions is still very cheap and affordable.

They are still the beggars on our street, they fetch water for us,clean our shoes,n pack our dirty for us... northerners so🤧🤧🤧🏃😛😛

The Northern Boarders never close.

This is good news and all I see is new opportunities for southerners farmers and businessmen.

what is this lamentations for now? Does this mean Igboho does not have onion farm. He does not need Hausa & Fulani traders in Ibadan.

Aurevoir

This is an example of one Nigeria those cows were saying

Can they start carrying their onions to

E be like sey this guy no know sey it's possible to also grow onions here in the south, were already doing this, let the north go away with their stuffs and see if we wouldn't eat anymore

Good 😈

Balance your report with what Yorubas loose in the shasa face off and how life is now difficult for them.

I don't really like the way some of these northerners behave, every region in this country have had a fair share of violence a wickedness been perpetrated by people from other regions but does it stop them from contributing to well being of the nation through whatever means.

It is just the beginning, now Southerners can eat Bush meat and have Ebola.

Cotonou no far from badagry we’ll go there and buy whatever.. this time the customs can’t stop us .. or we farm our thing also ..

We don't need the North. We don't need northern custom officials at southern borders either.

Let them eat it. There’s Benin republic nearby.

Did i just ear other countries?

Kindly Follow Back

Na wah oooo

Bye bye and Good luck 🍀
