To identify the stock market’s best 2019 comebacks, Barron’s ranked the companies in the S&P 500 index by their 2018 and 2019 price changes.
We then calculated the difference in the price changes to come up with the best improvements. It’s worth noting that a stock that falls 50% one year, needs to gain 100% in the following year to reach break-even.
