The Chairman of Muda Lawal Market, Baba Maigaji who confirmed the incident, said that although the actual cause of the fire could not be ascertained, eyewitness account says the fire was caused by a spark triggered by an electrical fault in a Keke Napep parked close to a truck carrying mattresses.
According to him, the fire was eventually put out by the officials of fire service in the state who came to the scene of the incident as security was equally deployed to the area to maintain law and order.
