The usual preference of leftist to welfare over jobs. Welfare perpetrates poverty and creates dependence, while jobs can lift people out of poverty and create independence. And then they might, god forbid, vote for the other party.

No offense but if I want someone ones opinion of unemployment and workers attitude, I would prefer a person who has held down an actual job at least once in their lives...
