Sithebe was touted to join Kaizer Chiefs in a highly-publicised move during the January window but has signed a pre-contract agreement after AmaZulu refused to sell before the end of the season.According to sources close to Amakhosi, Sithebe was set for a pay rise of more than R50 000 at Naturena.
"AmaZulu tried to match the Chiefs offer, but it was too late and the player had already made up his mind. "It's just unfortunate that besides losing the opportunity of making money, the club is saying they will not play him," the source added. Sithebe has already missed the recent Nedbank Cup clash against Orlando Pirates on Sunday following his decision transfer saga.
