Organisers of the Free State boxing extravaganza are promising a bigger and better night of fighting in the ring. Eight fights are scheduled to take place on the 29th of this month, with the SA title fight being the main attraction. Title-holder Nkululeko “Bull Dog” Mhlongo faces a stiff challenge from an old foe, John “Section 10” Bopape. It’s bound to be an exciting 12-round rematch, with Bopape having already claimed the scalp of his nemesis.

Boxing South Africa’s Acting CEO, Erick Sithole, says their goal is to revive boxing. “We intend to bring more boxing events in the free state. we also want to introduce indigenous language and also collaborate with other sports, to bring more entertainment.”
